Gunnar van der Steur
Gunnar
Born in Holland, raised in South Africa, Gunnars' dream to be a race driver has been fulfilled. As a young boy to adulthood, Gunnar has always been known as a"gearhead", tinkering on anything with an engine. Go-carting was the start of his racing passion. With many wins in the divisionals and nationals, Gunnar moved on to faster engines.

With his love of cars, EFC Systems inc. was born now 13 years ago. The company is the chief sponsor to van der Steur Racing. (see sponsors to learn more about EFC)

After two years of racing his Lola in the American Le Mans series, Gunnar is one to watch as an up and coming star.

Adam Pecorari
With 15 years of racing experience, you would never know Adam is only 22 years old.  Adam began racing karts locally at the age of 7, and within a few years was racing for National Championships.  It took him only 4 years to go from winning local Maryland State Championships, to winning National Championships in for the International Karting Federation.  From there Adam raced and won in numerous National Championships for 7 years, and was even invited to Europe on occasion and raced in the Grand Prix of Monaco.

2003 was Adams first year racing open-wheel cars.  As a rookie, in the U.S. Formula Ford National Championship, Adam received the "Young Aspiring Driver Award" and had three top-five finishes.  In 2004, he again raced in the USFF2000.  After a slow beginning to the season, Adam won 4 out or the last 8 races, and 7 out of 8 poles en route to 3rd in the Championship.
After competing in 2 Toyota Atlantic races in 2004 and 2005, Adam made the switch to sports cars and raced in the Grand American Championship.  Scoring 2 top-10’s during the season, he went into the 2005 post-season with the determination to find another Championship winning seat.

Adam made the decision to compete in the inaugural IMSA Lites Championship for the 2006 season.  Adam set pole for all ten races, and won 9 out of 10 races, with the only non-win a mechanical failure, en route to dominating and winning the Championship.  He also ran select races in the Grand American Rolex and Cup Championships, along with a Speed World Challenge race where Adam set fastest time in race. To cap off the 2006 season, Adam was invited to race with van der Steur Racing in the American Le Mans Series.
